Ok, so the Battlefield 1943 launch may have been a little *too* successful, the game is live, but servers are so bogged down that no one can play it. According to a post by DICE's Gordon VanDyke on the electronic arts forums, the game has been incredibly successful beyond their expectations. EA's online-only multiplayer FPS Battlefield 1943 reached server capacity shortly after release yesterday. Sorry, solo gamers, Battlefield 1943 can only be bought and played online. There’s no single player campaign, no option to fight bots – there isn’t even the option to run around the maps on your own (unless you’re playing the tutorial). Cheaper machines aren't as good value as PlayStation.
