  • Red Faction: Guerrilla (Review) 0 CommentsPosted by TheGamer on June 3, 2009 under GamesRadar - PS3 Reviews
You know what’s annoying? When you’re driving a mission-critical vehicle in GTA and somehow manage to roll it, only for it to burst into flames and explode. This game doesn’t do that. In Red Faction you can flip any car, buggy, or juggernaut back onto its wheels with a few quick nudges. It’s a small feature. Tiny. Wee, even. But there it is. ... Go to Source ... more.
  • Sacred 2: Fallen Angel (Review) 0 CommentsPosted by TheGamer on May 29, 2009 under GamesRadar - PS3 Reviews
Looking at Sacred 2: Fallen Angel from a purely statistical point of view, we had high expectations; 22 square miles of open world to explore, 100 core campaign missions, six classes of characters, tens of thousands of customizable weapons and armor pieces and four-player multiplayer. ... • Puzzle Quest: Galactrix (Review) 0 CommentsPosted by TheGamer on under GamesRadar - PS3 Reviews
If you’re reading this, you probably know that the brilliance of Puzzle Quest lies in the beautiful matrimony between casual and hardcore. The original PQ took a casual puzzle concept (Bejeweled) and legitimized it with plenty of hardcore RPG elements like intense battles, character leveling and engrossing story. ... • Damnation (Review) 0 CommentsPosted by TheGamer on under GamesRadar - PS3 Reviews
Damnation is a glowing example of how technology in the wrong hands can lead to disaster. Now, when we say this, are we referring to the story, which sees you taking on an army of evil robots in an alternative, steampunk version of the US Civil war? Or are we referring to the fact that Blue Omega have made one of the worst Unreal Engine-powered games we’ve ever seen? Hmm… ... Go to So... more.
  • InFamous (Review) 0 CommentsPosted by TheGamer on May 23, 2009 under GamesRadar - PS3 Reviews
Open-world superhero games and plot-altering moral decisions are nothing new by themselves, but stick them together and you’ve got… well, you’ve got Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. But throw in lightning powers, riots, out-of-control gangs that hunt in packs and lots of ruined buildings to climb, and you’ve got inFamous, the story of a wall-climbing wild talent trapped in a cit... more.
  • Bionic Commando (Next-Gen) (Review) 0 CommentsPosted by TheGamer on May 20, 2009 under GamesRadar - PS3 Reviews
Confession time: We had long expected Capcom and Swedish developer GRIN’s pact to resurrect the 22-year old Bionic Commando series to be a bad idea. Surely it would only serve to infect rose-tinted memories of yesteryear with some seriously bad juju. For one thing its overly macho style and dank color palette is more Gears of Yawn than retro chic ... Go to Source ... more.
  • Terminator Salvation – The Videogame (Review) 0 CommentsPosted by TheGamer on May 19, 2009 under GamesRadar - PS3 Reviews
How long have we been waiting for a decent Terminator game? How many times have we been disappointed? When we first heard that GRIN – the guys behind the PC versions of Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter – were on board for the movie spin-off game, we had extremely high hopes of commanding a rag-tag bunch of resistance fighters through a post apocalyptic Los Angeles. ... • UFC 2009 Undisputed (Review) 0 CommentsPosted by TheGamer on May 16, 2009 under GamesRadar - PS3 Reviews
During the demo appointments leading up to Undisputed’s release, we knew we were seeing something good. The tactical, yet undeniably brutal sport (if it’s recognized by many state athletic commissions then yes, it is a sport) is rendered the best it’s ever been in digital form. ... • Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust (Review) 0 CommentsPosted by TheGamer on May 6, 2009 under GamesRadar - PS3 Reviews
“I ’d f--- a cliff,” says Larry Lovage, in four words perfectly summarising everything about this abysmal third-person action adventure mess. Unsubtle, moronic, and making no sense, this second attempt to reprise the Leisure Suit Larry games of the ’80s is disastrous. ... Go to Source ... more.
  • Astro Tripper (Review) 0 CommentsPosted by TheGamer on May 5, 2009 under GamesRadar - PS3 Reviews
If your ideal gaming setup is laying about the sofa in your undies while Friday night’s hangover sits uncomfortably on your forehead – you need Astro Tripper. Like many of the PSN shooters influenced by the two-dimensional blasts of yesteryear, Astro Tripper is a neat mix of old-school points-chasing and new-school visuals. ... Go to Source ... more.
